Our Senior Minister – John Nappo & wife Tricia Nappo
John Nappo was born in Buffalo, NY. Upon graduation from high school, John moved to Colorado where he began a job in construction. It was in Colorado that he was introduced to the Christian Church and where he gained a relationship with Jesus. John met his wife Patricia in Colorado. While there, they married and had their first two children.
Later John and his family moved to Arkansas. There he became active in the church, especially in the Youth Ministry and outreach to a children’s home. When the minister moved to another ministry, John was asked to preach for the church. After preaching for a year, he decided he needed a stronger background and enrolled in Ozark Christian College where he received his Bachelor’s degree. While in college his two younger children were born.
Following College, John had ministries in Florida and Ellettsville, Indiana, both in youth and senior ministry positions. After leaving Indiana, John accepted a ministry in New Bern, NC. After a 5 year ministry, he began working with a new ministry in homes focusing on the un-churched. John moved from this ministry to accept a call in Vincennes, Indiana. In August of 2016, John accepted the position of Minister at Burlington Christian Church. The church here is ready to move out and accomplish great things for the Lord Jesus.
John’s goal in ministry is to exalt the name of Jesus and the Word of God in all that he does. He strives to do this in his home with his wife Patricia and with his children Rachelle, John, Kaylee and Natalie and then going out into the life of the church and community. He believes that the Lord Jesus called him into ministry for two purposes: first, to point the church back into the stream of effective ministry and be relevant to the world in which we live, then to reach this generation through acts of love and create opportunities for them to express their God given gifts and abilities for His glory.
